Dance and Music INFORMANCE Appropriate for: grades K-12,
college-university lecture series, community events, ethnic groups,
senior
centers, hospitals, prisons
A lively introduction to ZIVILI and to the
spirited cultures that ZIVILI represents, presented through dance, music and
song. Representing ZIVILI (in traditional costumes) will be Pamela Lacko
Kelley, Artistic Director/Choreographer, and Melissa Pintar Obenauf, Dance
Director/Executive Director.

Workshops/Master
Classes for Classrooms or for P.E. Classes with Live Musical Accompaniment
Appropriate for: grades K-12, teachers, faculty, colleges and universities,
community groups,
recreational folk dance groups, for seniors, or for those
who are handicapped.
An in-depth, personalized learning experience for
students and/or teachers. Throughout the dance class, other topics such as
traditional music, arts, Slavic cultures and history, as well as current
events, are also introduced. Taught by Pamela Lacko Kelley, Artistic
Director/Choreographer and by Melissa Pintar Obenauf, Dance
Director/Executive Director. Live musical accompaniment on instruments
indigenous to the area(s) is
provided as well.

"Christmas in Croatia" Customs and Traditions!
Appropriate for:
Grades K-12, colleges and universities, community groups
Dancer and musician
(in traditional costumes) bring to the classroom some of the customs,
spirited music, and lively dances of Croatian people at Christmastime.
Perfect for seasonal "holidays around the world" studies. Ideas
for curriculum integration will be provided. (All presentations are secular
in nature.)

Slide Show
Appropriate for: grades
3-12, college and universities, community center, senior centers, and other
types of groups.
This powerful slide show presents fantastic photographic
images and interesting narrative describing ZIVILI's tour to perform in
Refugee Camps, Displaced Persons' Centers, Orphanages, and at the Center for
the Abandoned Elderly in Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia. This
acclaimed and much sought-after slide presentation is free if booked with

Study
Guides and Press Packets to aid in the preparation or follow-up visit by
ZIVILI will be made available to those who request them. ZIVILI also has an
extensive lending library and a large display of authentic instruments,
costumes, and artifacts available.

Arts Council's
"Artistic Excellence" Award in April, 2001
Pamela
Lacko Kelley, the company's artistic director and choreographer, is a 9-time
recipient of the Ohio Arts Council's Individual Artists Awards for
Choreography. Melissa Obenauf, ZIVILI's executive director and dance
director, is also a dancer with the company. She has also choreographed for
ZIVILI and is also a recipient of Ohio Arts Council fellowships in
choreography. Ms. Kelley and Ms. Obenauf are both respected experts in the
field of ethnic dance; in addition, both have degrees in elementary
education and have 29 years of performing as well as education experience.
