THE TUMBLING BLACK BOX
by Vic Wolfe
From the Ohio UFO Notebook, Summer 1997
My story does not fit into the usual UFO accounts. This is why I have never said anything about it. Moreover, I have no pictures to prove
anything nor do I have any other witnesses to back me up. You can believe it or disbelieve it. If you laugh, I'll laugh right along with you.
On a Sunday afternoon in February 1989, I looked out the kitchen window and in the backyard of a neighbor's house two doors to the
west, I saw a black box, about the size of a microwave oven. It appeared to have something sticking out, like the box's lid. It seemed to
tumble end over end above the ground, so it was hard to see any detail. It also appeared to be swinging back and forth about ten feet each
way. I did not see any kind of rope or string attached to it. After about thirty seconds, it moved upwards. The higher I saw it go, the less it
seemed to swing. In another half-minute, it was out of sight, never to be seen again.
I do not have the slightest idea of what this was. I do not believe I saw a spaceship from another planet. If anyone has seen something
similar to this, please write to MORA and let us know.
