Society needs to protect itself from human 'animals'
By Goerge A. Koncar
I would like to congratulate you for your articles on the death penalty. One of the statements did seem a little strange. One of the inmates who is sitting on death row said he "doesn't believe in the death penalty."
How strange! He seemed to believe in it when it suited him! These "people" sitting on death row are there because they used the "death penalty" on an innocent victim. If a wild animal kills a person, that animal is hunted down and killed. The animal was just acting out of instinct, not thought. Humans should be held to a higher standard.
If a human knowingly kills another human they show that they are nothing but a wild animal and deserve the ultimate punishment. Each human is the only one responsible for his own actions!
Should society be pleased with the death penalty? NO! Should it swiftly carry it out when warranted? YES! Society needs to protect itself from the "animals" who feel they are above the laws of humanity.
