The End of Freedom!
June 1999
When one is attempting to conquer another, he usually tries to weaken the other side. If he is superior in power and might, then he has a better chance of winning. This basic principle is true in all areas of life. War is just one example.
This same concept is used by Communists and Socialists in attempting to gain control of ones government by political means. If the Socialists can make themselves stronger than their enemy then it will be much easier to defeat their enemy.
One way for a Communist group to make itself superior is by building up stronger armed forces than its opponents. But the more subtle way, is to demoralize and destroy the opponents armed forces. Thus making the Communist forces superior to their opponents without them noticing a large buildup of enemy forces. In fact, it is possible to even dismantle some of ones own bases and forces while demoralizing and degrading the opponents.
This concept is not only for country to country relations, but works within ones own country. Socialists and Communists may take control of ones country without any noticeable differences. They soon pass gun laws and other such degrading laws of civilians so that the average citizen has no retaliatory weapons to defend itself against an invading force. But this invading force is from within. Once the citizens have been de-armed, then the Communist government may pass other Socialist Laws without worries of retaliation. Freedom has come to an end.
We must all remember that freedom slowly disappears and is much harder to keep than to achieve. Who honestly thinks that any current gun law will keep a mad man from killing people? The mad man thinks so, for it gives him a free ticket against all the law abiding citizens who are not allowed to protect themselves.
There was a good reason for the right to bear arms being #2 on the Bill of Rights!!
