Salutations

Quiet surf,
dusk is neighboring.
Pelicans finding their
last catch for the day.

Mosquitos search for
victims in the shadows.
Silhouettes line the
beach at twilight.

Seashells ride
the evening tide.
Some left for treasures,
others float to new destinations.

Silent undertones of the ocean
sing lullabies in the evening mist.
Lighthouse beacons in the distance
protecting sailors in the darkness.

Heaven opens as rays of light
permeate dawn’s genesis.
Jesus’ morning kiss to all
who will receive.
