Alan and guests Michele Lee, Paul Lynde, David Frye and Gene Baylos find humor in men's fashions, the current avante garde practices of off Broadway and films, astrology, the moon landing, and New Year's Eve parties. A highlight of the hour is impressionist David Frye's bits as President Johnson, President Nixon, Governor Rockefeller And Truman Capote. Miss Booth sings a little in her cracked voice, “He Don’t Love Me Anymore,” and is more comfortable as a dog inspector checking on Dean Martin’s qualifications as an owner. Vikki Carr has solos like “Esta Bien” and joins Dean for a medley of oldies including “The Very Thought of You.” Semi-regular Paul LYNDE does bits as a nightclub piano player, a gigolo and a bum. Guests: Barbara Feldon, Joe Frazier & Stiller & Meara KRAFT PRESENTS PHIL SILVERS AND PAUL LYNDE … “‘Music Hall’ tonight at 9 is heavy on skits tonight what with Phil Silvers and Paul Lynde fussing over their co-hosting jobs. The fellows also play status-seeking business tycoons engaged in a running battle getting each other on the phone and portray two incompetent fight managers letting heavyweight champion Joe Frazier slip through their fingers. But that’s not all. Roy Clark drops in to help his host in “One Man Band,” the two of them pick up classical musician Paul Lynde with the idea of forming a hillbilly trio; Lynde appears as a gabby piano tuner and is at his best as a sub commander ordering Campbell, Clark and the Osmond Brothers about.
