Columbus Knights at Tuttle Park Rec. Center

Columbus Knights has open mat on Monday 8:00 to 10:00, Wednesday 7:30 to 9:30 and Friday 7:00 to 9:00. This is for all teens and adults.  Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 we offer a class for kids from 5 years to 13.  Practice and open mats are at Tuttle Park Recreation Center.(Near OSU stadium).  This is Free to Everyone.  For More Information www.ohiowrestling.bizland.com or morphviper@aol.com .

Heritage Panther Duals (The Heritage Cup) (12/14/02)

Hilliard Heritage Middle School is looking for teams to participate in a six team dual meet tournament.  The meet will take place on December 14th 2002.  Each team will wrestle five dual matches on three mats.  The meet will start at 10:00am.  Awards will be given to the top two teams.  We are looking for full roster teams so we can get every wrestler five matches if possible.  Interested teams should contact Mike Geisz at coachgeisz@aol.com or by calling Heritage Middle School at (614) 921-7500.

West Jefferson is looking for several teams to fill our 16 team bracket style tournament held January 3-4 2003. Elder H.S. is looking for a dual or Tri match (preferably HOME match) at the Varsity level on either Fri. Dec.6th, Sat. Dec. 7th or Fri. Jan. 10th. PURDUE WRESTLING COMMUTER CAMP

This is the sixth consecutive year the Purdue Wrestling Commuter Camp has come to Steubenville. Each year it has grown in number and popularity based on it's ability to breakdown technique to all age levels and weight classes. After each session has been taught, wrestlers who weigh 180 or more will work individualized instruction with HWY World Team Member, Tom Erikson, on a special section of mat. In addition to the Big Man area, there will be a designated area for young wrestlers. Elementary aged wrestlers will be paired according to size and skill and counselors will work with them separately. Wrestlers will be put into eight teams for competitive dual meet action during the week.

(wrestlers can bring their own lunch or purchase one at the camp)

Entry fee:   Pre-Registered by mail received before 4/10= $12.00 / after 4/10 or at weigh-ins= $15.00

Admission: $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for children

·          8 man double elimination bracket, if more than 8 entries per class, we  will split into 2 brackets

·          Both periods start on your feet, modified high school rules

·          We reserve the right to move a wrestler up to the next weight class if needed.

·          Div. 1,2,3 will be (3) 1 minute periods / Division 4,5 will be (3) 1 1/2 minute periods

·          Awards for top 4 finishers
