Findlay High School is still looking for a couple of teams to round out their varsity wrestling tournament for the 2002-2003 season. Findlay is a Division 1 school located just of I-75. We are approximately an hour from Toledo, hour and a half from Columbus and two hours from Dayton. We are interested in bringing in a competitive mix of teams from all Divisions, and we would like to limit the tournament to full, varsity “A” teams. However, exceptions can be made with approval.
We will run a one day (2pt), 10 team dual meet tournament, with 2 pools of five teams, wrestle round robin, with one bye round per team. The teams with the best records in each pool will wrestle for placement. Team and individual awards are still being worked out. We are looking at December 7th, 2002 as the tournament date. Teams already expressing interest include:
Findlay (D1)
Fostoria (D2)
Wapakoneta (D2)
Archbold (D3)
Sandusky Perkins (D2)
Springboro (D1 / D2)
Spencerville (D3)
If you are interested in adding this to your varsity schedule, please contact me at mritter@mapllc.com, (419) 425-0245, or (419) 429-5805.
