January 19-20, 2002 Hosted by The Ohio State University St. John Arena and French Field House Three separate 16 team individual dual meet championships will be run simultaneously. 90 great dual matches on 12 mats over 2 days.

TICKET INFORMATION

There will be eight mats in French Field House and four mats in St. John Arena. All spectators will be able to move between the two facilities. All Division I matches and all Championship matches will be held in St. John Arena. Reserved seating is limited and available only in St. John Arena. General admission seating is also available in St. John Arena. Those holding reserved tickets will be permitted to sit in the general admission seating areas of French Field House. Tickets are scheduled to be mailed two weeks prior to the event.

Division II State Duals:

The Division II  State Dual Meet Tournament will be held at the New Claymont High School in Uhrichsville, Ohio on Sunday, Jan 6, 2002 starting at 12 noon. The top teams in the state meet for the Division II  State title. This year see St. Paris Graham, Walsh Jesuit, Olmstead Falls, Mentor Lake Catholic, Hamilton Township, Franklin High School, Oak Harbor  and Columbus De Sales battle for the title. This tournament will be a preview of the state title. Claymont is located 1 hour south of Akron on US  Route 250,just off Interstate 77, 100 miles east of Columbus and 90 miles South of Cleveland. RULON GARDNER COMING TO CVCA HIGH SCHOOL

2000 Greco-Roman Gold Medalist, Rulon Gardner will be speaking, and doing a mini-clinic on January 11, 2002 at 6:00pm-9:00pm.
       Cost: Adults $12.00

This is open to the public. Rulon has spoken to many groups, including Troops in the Perisian Gulf, Victims of 9/11/01, and high schools across the country.  Come hear America's wrestling hero as he speaks to the wrestling community.

           ELIGIBILITY: All wrestlers 14 yrs old and under as of Feb. 10th, 

                                       up to eighth grade. No high school wrestlers!

            NOTE: We reserve the right to demand proof of age (Birth certificate).

            AWARDS:    We will give awards to the top four finishers in each

                                   weight class, including split weight classes.

            RULES:         Modified high school rules. Two one and one half minute

                                    periods. Both periods and all restarts in neutral position.

                                   Twelve point technical fall. Double elimination. One minute

                                   overtime period, first point wins the match. If no winner,

                                    thirty second periods will be wrestled until a point is scored.

            DRESS:         Singlet and/or T-shirt and Shorts. No loose or baggy clothing.
