PHONE FILER

Using The Filer For Phone Numbers
(Suggestion by Darrel Vaughn)

The Filer can be a handy place to group together commonly used phone numbers for quick access, or for a group of contacts you are temporarily working with. Here is how it's done. Note: If you are not familiar with the filer and how it works, you can get a brief explanation from here, or you can refer to your Zaurus manual.(sorry, I don't have the Zaurus Manual on line!)

1. Create a file folder:

2. File the Phone numbers you want into the folder you created:

Congratulations! You just filed your first number in the "File Folder". Now just continue with steps 2A-2C until you have entered all the numbers you want.

What is nice about this system is this, if you have chosen to use one of your "Contacts" or a "Data File" phone list where the first field holds the name of the person and the second field holds the phone number, when you view a number using the "Filer" section, you'll never have to really go to the actual entry unless you need more than just the number of that person. This is true because when a folder is open in the "File" section entries are displayed using the first two lines of the entry.
