578 in all its pride
Steam engine #578 was donated to us after it was retired from normal use in the 1950's, the engine was built near 1910. The Museum used to use the steam engine for normal use. That was 20 years ago, today to be able to use the engine safely and legally it would cost the museum quite a bit of money to repair it. The museum does have plans to re-build the engine in the future after we have built a facility to house it.
