Moxy Früvous was known as a "follow band", meaning that fans sometimes travel great distances to see them perform. Why would anyone travel hundreds or thousands of miles to see the same band a dozen or more times on the same tour?

Frequently, bands on a tour will play the same set of songs in the same order every night, and their main communication with the audience is along the lines of "Hello Columbus! Are you ready to rock?" Moxy Früvous is quite different. The frequently play an almost completely different set of material from night to night, joke around a lot, tell stories, offer political commentary and satire, and always come out after the show to talk with fans, not just to sign autographs. They obviously enjoy performing, and feel a strong connection to their audience. Also, some great friendships develop among the fans that attend many shows, and some come to see friends in other cities using a Moxy Früvous concert as a further motivating factor to make the trip. After all, most things are more fun when done with friends.

I saw Moxy Früvous live on October 8, 1997 at Ludlow's in Columbus, Ohio, June 9, 1998 at Border's Book Store in Dublin, Ohio, October 15, 1998 at Ludlow's in Columbus, Ohio, and October 17, 1998 at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky (about a 3-hour drive).

I shot some video at each concert, and have some audio of their appearance on WCBE-FM the afternoon of June 9, 1998.

I own a copy of the "B", "Bargainville", "Live Noise", "Wood", and "You Will Go To The Moon" CD's.

Be forewarned that my life is more than a little complicated, and I often have months at a time when I am unable to find the time to make tapes.

I have VHS-C tape of the October 15, 1998 show and the October 17, 1998 show, but haven't had a chance to even view them yet, much less edit them, put together a contents list, and calculate their lengths.
