Deep Blue Edit Scripts

"Those Legs" is a sort of police drama with some very gritty stuf. A cop kills a woman in a rather gruesome fashion and his old partner has to close the books on him. Read it here. "Woman in Black" is a Noir tale of crime, corruption and a woman in black that knows the score, but dies trying to prove it. Candy never looked so dangerous before. This is a collaborative effort with my friend Natalie Lloyd. Read it here.
"Dirty Water" is a short horror piece about a couple that wanders the old train tunnel at Moonville, a real place. In my version, the water leaking through the tunnel roof is contaminated by the graveyard above. Read it here. "The Dead Woman" is another Noir scene I am thinking of using for another 16mm film test. To be shot in B&W naturally and to play with Noir style lighting and dialog. Read it here.

"Wrath of the Angel" Someone is gathering relics. Bits of wood, ancient slivers of iron. These two stumble into something they don't understand. The script in PDF.

"Workbench" is a collaborative effort with my son Nathan Henery. He got the bug to try writing something and this is it. I tidied it up and punched it up a bit. A story of a home invasion gone very wrong for the invader. Read it here.
"Garmanbozia" Trailer is a stereotypical horror film trailer I want to shoot in 16mm color. It was originally going to be my Bolex 16mm test film but it ran a bit long. Read it here. "And Then I Wake Up" was to be my short horror story that was originally part of the now abandon idea for a series of shorts that would become a full feature if all the shorts were combined. This original idea has been replaced by a different type of group effort so I don't think printing this original story idea of mine should be a problem.. Read it here.
"The Redheaded Cat" is an art piece that is two stories in one. On the surface, a love triangle. Read the clues and it's something else completely. Playing with some ideas and shots. Read the PDF. "SkIN" is still in the early stages, about an undergreound art collector who collects tattoos, from the living. Read the first pages here.
"The Little Crack Girl" is a recreation of the famous Hans Christian Anderson story "Little Match Girl". I rewrote this version for an online contest but went another direction. Might still shoot this one. Interesting idea to me. Read it here. "Chance Meeting" is a lighter story. A short about the chance meeting between a girl and a boy on the street. They meet, fall in love, sort of, and drift away in about 3 minutes. Read the script.
"Loose Ends" is the continuation of the story line from Cat Fight at OK and Corral. The cast and crew all wanted to continue these characters and add some real action. Still in progress. Read it here. "Scrubbing" is pretty much finished. A clown scrubs a word off a wall, a group of people discuss the future of a man who is disturbed, lights flash, people change. Read it here.
"A Dark Light" is a little tiny script I wrote to use as a test for my Bolex 16mm camera. Good and evil are constant, and changing. One waits for the other to trade places in the world. Eventually the trade happens. This was shot and can be seen as the piece titled "Balanced" but should be reshot later. Read it here. "The Reindeer Murder" . I wrote this one as a sort of Godfather-esque twist on the song "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". Justice is handed out by a jolly old elf with an unexpected name, Scorsese style. Read this script .
"Dislocation" is about a chance for redemption that, according to the beliefs of the Catholic church, can never come. A lonely man, a lost soul, a graveyard at night. Read the PDF of the script . "The Lottery" is a mix of The Island, 1984 and THX-1138 all in one short. The government controls the population with mandatory drugs and television. There is one escape - The Lottery. Read it here.
"Track 11" A young woman who happens to like hacking into sites and downloading bootleg Heavy Metal music finds a CD with a strange missing track, Track 11. It's a virus that affects people that listen to it. Unfinished but getting interesting. Read it here. "Shakes the Clown" is a bit like a live Krusty the Clown. Half Steven Wright, half Flunky the Clown from the old David Letterman show and part Pennywise. I was trying to do comedy. Yep, it's dark too. Incomplete. Read it here.
"Wray Gunn" is a music video based on another song from a great Rock-a-Billy band called the Cadillac Angels . Great stuff. Hopefully we'll shoot this spring too. The script in PDF. Read the outline here "Regrets, Ohio" was written as a sort of backstory to the ill-fated Der Sturm project below. I thought the idea of making a music video out in the backwoods of Ohio might make a good setting for a creepy story. Unfinished. Read it here.
"The Last Canoe" A man who lost his young brother in a boating acident 15 years ago needs to take a trip down that river one last time before leaving his home town possibly forever. This is actually a horror film. Just getting it started. The partial script. "Bent Rays" is a piece shot for the DVChallenge film/video contest run at DVInfo.net. It will be posted on Google and My site soon. The earth is being destroyed and nobody know why. Read it here.
"Cat Fight at OK and Coral" is a short based on an old western dueling scene, only more modern and with a few twists. Originally I intended this to be for 2 guys but the dynamics are just more fun if it is 2 women in the lead rolls. Read the PDF of the script . "Johnny's Got a Girl" is a video based on a song from a great Rock-a-Billy band called the Cadillac Angels . Great stuff. Hopefully we'll shoot this spring. The script in PDF .
"Fever" is something I wrote a few years back as a way to remember a series of delusional dreams I had when I was lying in bed with a semi serious case of Pneumonia. It's out there. It makes sense to me, but I lived it. Read it here. Word Doc File "Der Sturm" is based on a very operatic musical work by a goth band from Moldova named Offertorium. Read the PDF version of the script . Read the outline here .
