Work Party????

Several members have made inquires as to what a work party consists of. Basically, a work party is any task or group of tasks, usually designated by the Vice President, needed to maintain the club or prepare the club for any scheduled event. The work party is a necessary and important part of your membership. Everything that gets done at the club is done by the members on a voluntary basis, without your help Apache Bowhunters would cease to exist.

What qualifies as a Work Party?

Prior to scheduled shoots

The day before every scheduled shoot we have a work party starting at 9:00 AM and usually lasting till noon or 1:00. There will be a list of items to complete, once they're done the work party's over and you receive credit for 1 work party.

YOU MUST SIGN THE WORK PARTY LIST. Look for a bright orange stand with a clipboard attached, usually on the table outside the clubhouse or near the registration desk.

Other Work Party Items

Sign up for phone committee and get 2 WP credits. Cutting grass gets 1 WP credit per cutting. A 3 hour shift helping in kitchen, running registration, running a raffle or novelty shoot gets 1 WP credit. Picking up excelsior bales or hauling supplies for club gets at least 1 WP credit. Pulling targets and cleaning up after shoots gets 1/2 WP credit.

If you work weekends, or have family obligations that prevent you from attending the scheduled work parties, please contact a club officer and we'll let you know about special projects you can complete to fulfill your work party obligations.
